Getting the Self-publishing FREE GUIDE…

Okay, your manuscript is almost ready! You are an author or you work with a small publishing company that doesn’t have a graphic design department. You are thinking about formatting your book in MS Word; you want to Do-It-Yourself . So, you start to look up instructions; signup for FREE GUIDES; search and watch the YouTube videos; check out posts on blogs and FB groups—only to come away thoroughly confused. And beware Word is not a book layout program, truthfully. It can be done, but looks amateurish and is not conducive to ebook conversion.

Here’s what you need to know or perhaps already know: It can be a frustrating maze of information. Many self-publishing companies offer you their FREE GUIDE to help you — “Self-Publishing Guide (FREE)”. Are you trying to make sense of it? If you are an author, I highly suggest you find a solitary book formatter, a freelancer (with a phone number and address in the United States) to talk to in person, to design and set-up your interior, who will care, has great testimonials, does not keep your royalties, and knows just about everything about self-publishing, preparing the files perfectly for print and ebooks so you can be writing your next book. I offer the same advice to a publishing company that have no in-house graphic design department. If you can find that one talented and knowledgeable person who actually wants to help you seamlessly get your book(s) published… while not costing you 1000s of dollars, you’ve saved time, money and your sanity.

I’m a freelancer. I’m Erin of Modern Book Design. I’d be happy to prepare you, and your books, for publishing. If you want to pay the big bucks go ahead and check out the hybrid publishing companies. Here’s a sample of a FREE GUIDE. Happy reading… and check the pricing on the FREE GUIDE page 6! Or give me a call so you can get your “baby” published, affordably and easily.
